Bad news I’m afraid.
A spelling mistake on the charge sheet will not invalidate it. If it caused confusion you would probably be entitled to an adjournment but no more. If the case is heard and you are found not guilty the police cannot arrest and re-charge you. However if there has not been a hearing and decision on the charge they can.
