I am sure you will agree the wisdom of swallowing this probably unnecessary rebuff rather than putting your career in jeopardy by making allegations of racial discrimination. You would certainly be struggling to maintain this and I doubt whether you could show that the reason your speech was criticised was by reason of your race. My suggestion is that you ask your employer to help you with the difficulty they find by paying for you to consult a speech therapist and to have elocution lessons. You have a right to ensure that their refusal is noted on your personnel file and you should make sure this is done.
